Whether you prefer poultry, red meat or seafood, Char Sticks and Grill has got you covered. Currently, there are 50 options to choose and they are all affordably priced at about $1.50 per stick. It is so tempting to order all of them!

I must have hit the jackpot that day – I scored a trio of cheesy scallops ! (usual: 2 for $7.90).

I wished there was more cheese, but at least the mild sweetness of the scallops was not overwhelmed.

Sanma fish is known for its characteristic sword-like shape. This fish is traditionally grilled whole with the head and guts still intact. When it first arrived at the table, we were wowed by its size. And it only costs $4.90! Don’t worry about having any bitter bomb explosion in your mouth, because the staff here have them all well-cleaned with the guts removed. Add a squeeze of lime to zest up the flavours of this fish.

I must say that the Pork jowl ($1.50) stole the show that day.

Sticky from the sweet caramelized teriyaki glaze, the pork jowl had large chunks of fats. For $1.50, I cannot imagine anything more sensational than this.

I must say that Char Sticks and Grill has done a pretty great job with their food. Their marinades and sauces are not too overwhelmingly strong, and you can still taste the natural flavours of the ingredients. Pretty decent for its price, this place is worth a visit!
